Bad Wine Review (The Review, Not The Wine)

Published by ravenlee at 2:04 pm under Food & Drink Edit This

Today were talking about adult juice boxes! By adult juice boxes, I’m referring to these neat little Wine Cube wine boxes of the single serving variety. Today, we’re reviewing the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Shira, a 50-50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

Wine Cube

First impressions: the box: we have here a little red rectangle shaped box with foil seal, we pull up and remove the seal to reveal a wide pouring/drinking orifice. It looks like a big fancy juice box. It contains 250 mL, has various information printed around it’s surface with a notable point being that it is 13% alcohol by volume. The wine: and I must admit I drank the first two straight from the boxes and it was good! We’re not talking wine snob good, we’re talking Joe average wine drinker good. It’s a table wine, easy to drink, pleasant, goes well with most things, probably like a good table wine should.

It should be noted it does not pour well. Its aroma is strongly alcoholic going a wine-y sort way, it’s color was blood red. Very pretty. Overall impressions: good table wine well-suited to just drinking and will get you pretty messed up. All in all I like it, but then that’s just my opinion. In closing I say give it a try and is always drink responsibly!

OK, well, you know I don’t drink wine, so I’ll take your word for it.

Many people will want to know, though - did you get any hangover from it? I’ve heard red wine can have that effect.

aw… it was going so well until that very last line about drinking responsibly :)

Take all the fun out of it that way!

No Hangover, But That Is Mostly A Function Of Dehydration. Water Is Vital To The Proccessing Of Alcohol Through The System, Not Enough And You Get Hangovers. And As To Taking The Fun Out Of It, Flit, It’s When We Start Drinking Too Much That The PLEASURE Of Drinking Goes Out The Window.
